There is no difference between synthetic post insulators and composite post insulators, because they are the same product, just called different.
Composite pillar insulators are high-voltage insulators made of silicone rubber composite materials, which are composed of glass fiber epoxy resin pulling rod (rod core), silicone rubber umbrella skirt (umbrella tray), metal end iron cap (hardware). The main products are rod type and cross arm type, which are used as overhanging and tension-bearing insulation on 35KV/110KV/ 220KV lines. At present, there are also products for 10KV line insulators.
Different types of composite pillar insulators are different. Silica gel composite pillar insulators are mainly used in substations. They have good hydrophobicity, aging resistance, leakage marking resistance and electrical erosion resistance, high tensile strength and bending strength, high mechanical strength, good impact resistance, shock resistance and anti-brittle performance, light weight, easy installation and maintenance. The mounting dimensions of the upper and lower ends are the same as those of the corresponding porcelain post insulators and can be used interchangeably.
