The commonly used insulators for overhead distribution lines are pin insulators, post porcelain insulators, suspension insulators, butterfly insulators (also known as tea table porcelain bottles), rod porcelain insulators, pull wire porcelain insulators, ceramic cross arm insulators, discharge clamp edges, etc. There are two kinds of low voltage porcelain bottles for low voltage lines: needle type and butterfly type.
1. Pin insulator. Pin type insulators are mainly used for linear rods and small Angle corner rods to support wires, which are divided into high pressure and low pressure.
2. Post porcelain insulator. The purpose of post porcelain insulators is basically the same as that of pin insulators. The insulated porcelain part of the post porcelain insulator is poured into the iron shoe to form the "iron-clad porcelain" outer pouring structure, as shown in the figure below. However, when the post porcelain insulator is used, the guide of the erection of the straight Angle bar should not be too large, and the lateral force should not exceed the allowable bending strength of the post porcelain insulator.
3. Suspension porcelain insulator. The suspended porcelain insulator is shown below. It is mainly used for tension bars of overhead distribution lines. Generally, low-voltage lines use suspended insulator suspension wires. 10kV lines use two pieces of suspended insulator string suspension wires. 4. Butterfly insulator. Butterfly insulator commonly known as tea table porcelain bottle. It can be divided into high pressure and low pressure, as shown in the following figure. In 10kV line, the butterfly porcelain insulator and the suspension insulator form a "tea hanger", which is used for small cross section wire tensioning rod, terminal rod or branch rod, etc., or at low pressure, as a straight line or tensioning insulator.
5. Porcelain cross arm insulator. Porcelain cross arm insulators are solid porcelain parts with metal accessories at one end, which are generally used for linear rods of 10kV lines.
6. Rod type porcelain insulator. Rod type porcelain insulator, also known as porcelain pull rod, is a solid porcelain body with steel caps at one or both ends, or pure porcelain pull rod.
7. Pull wire porcelain insulator. Taut porcelain insulator, also known as tie wire round porcelain, is generally used in the end, corner, tension rod wire of the overhead distribution line, so that the lower tie wire is insulated from the upper tie wire.
8. Discharge clamp insulator. The bottom of the discharge clamp insulator is basically the same as that of the post insulator. The insulated porcelain is installed in the iron shoe of the base, and the top insulated porcelain is installed in the iron cap, and the iron cap is installed with aluminum pressure plate.
