Selection of fuses
(1) Rated voltage value
Fuses are sensitive to changes in current and not to changes in voltage. Generally speaking, when the high-voltage load switching voltage changes from 0V to a large rating, the fuse can maintain its current status and is not damaged. However, if the voltage is too large, it will still cause the fuse to blow and arc will occur. Therefore, the voltage level of the fuse should be determined according to the voltage of the applied electrical system. Under normal circumstances, the voltage rating of the fuse must be equal to or greater than the rated voltage of the existing circuit, and for a circuit with an electrical system voltage of 28 V, its matching fuse should be rated at 32 V.


(2) Calculate the rated voltage value
Under normal circumstances, when calculating the capacity of the fuse, the load size is calculated, that is, the overload protection is used to determine the size of the fuse capacity. It can be calculated according to the electrical load connected to each circuit in the electrical schematic diagram to determine the rated current value of each circuit under normal operation in an ideal state.
