1. Insulators are generally divided into breakdown type and non breakdown type.
2. According to the structure, it can be divided into post (pillar) insulator, suspension insulator, pin insulator, butterfly insulator, tension insulator, anti pollution live water flushing insulator and bushing insulator.
3. According to the application occasion, it is divided into line insulator, power station insulator and electrical insulator. Among them, the breakdown type insulators used in the line include pin type, butterfly type and disc-shaped suspension type, and the non breakdown type includes cross arm and rod-shaped suspension type. 4. Insulators used in overhead lines include pin insulators, butterfly insulators, suspension insulators, porcelain cross arms, rod insulators and tension insulators.
