In humid climate, dirty power insulators are prone to flashover charge and discharge, so it is necessary to clean them and correct the original insulation level. General areas shall be cleaned once a year, and dirty areas shall be cleaned twice a year (once before fog season).
When cleaning it, you can refer to the following methods:
1. Power off cleaning: power off cleaning is that when the road is powered off, the staff climb the pole and scrub with a towel. If it cannot be cleaned, it can be cleaned with wet rag and detergent. If it cannot be cleaned, the insulator shall be replaced.
2. Continuous electric cleaning: generally, the insulator shall be wiped on the operation road with an insulating rod equipped with a brush or tied with pure cotton yarn. The characteristics and length of electrical equipment and the distance between people and live parts of the applied insulating rod shall meet the specifications of relative additional voltage, and full-time personnel shall be required to supervise the operation.
3. Charged water scouring: flood and small scouring. Flushing tap water, reasonable length of operating rod and distance between people and electrified parts need to meet the provisions of industrial technical specifications.
When cleaning the insulator, it is necessary to ensure the personal safety of the staff first, and when cleaning the insulator, prevent accidents from threatening the safety of the operator.
